Here come’s the sun

At Cyclopaedia – here in the heart of the Welsh capital – we’ve been rather enjoying our riding. The last few weeks of summer have been pretty much every cyclist’s dream. If you’re a roadie, you’ve been able to discard the longs and leave the rain cape in the kit drawer. If you’re the offroad type, you’ll have been gliding along dusty trails and relieved of the need to wash your bike at the end. In short, it’s been bliss.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen any lead grey skies. In fact, we reckon this all started back in April with Battle on the Beach. The portents were there - change was in the air, there were blue skies, a favourable wind and much banter about the right bike and tyre combination. Cross bike v mountain bike. Gravel tyre v fat tyre v semi-slick. Our team-mates, customers and friends had a blast. It has precipitated nigh on 3 months of intermittently glorious weather with wonderful conditions for road races, MTB events, sportives and just gold old fashioned riding with your mates.

So in celebration of that, we’ve picked out a few images from our film roll that seem to sum up these months of gorgeousness. We’ll soon forget once the sun sits lower in the sky and the heavens open.

Oh….and if you need a little hand enjoying this stuff (you know…some bike bits, some bling, maybe a full susser) you know where to find us ;)
